Andrew is the Information Technology Director for the City of Junction City. With over eight years of experience in municipal government IT, Andrew holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology Management and is certified as a Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). His expertise in technology leadership and project management enables him to effectively oversee the city’s IT infrastructure and drive innovation while ensuring the city’s technology systems are secure, reliable, and  aligned with its goals. Andrew is a dedicated member of the GMIS organization, serving on both the Kansas Chapter and the International Boards.

Chad is the Director of Information Technology for the City of Hays, where he oversees policy, acquisition, service, networking, and telecommunications for city departments. With over 20 years of experience in government IT, Chad has initiated significant network and application growth and complexity over his career to provide tools and services to the departments he serves as well as the citizens of Hays. He is a Certified Public Manager (CPM) and a Past President of KS-GMIS.

James, an IT professional with over 25 years of experience, has been at the forefront of technology since 1999. Based in Wichita, KS, he currently serves as the IT Infrastructure Director, leveraging his deep expertise in Exchange, Active Directory, Office 365, and mobile device management to lead and innovate in the field.

Throughout his career, James has achieved significant milestones, including leading numerous Exchange upgrades, and becoming the HIPAA Security Officer for Sedgwick County. His commitment to advancing IT governance is evident in his involvement with GMIS-KS, where he has served as Treasurer since 2017. Most recently, in August 2024, James was named the International Director for GMIS International, marking another step in his dedication to the IT community.

Academically, James combines his technical knowledge with a strong leadership foundation. He holds a Criminal Justice Degree with a minor in Psychology and a Mini MPA from Wichita State University, equipping him with a unique perspective on problem-solving and management. His ultimate professional goal is to become the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Sedgwick County, a position he aspires to achieve by continuously pushing the boundaries of innovation and efficiency.

Outside the office, James enjoys a fulfilling personal life. He has been married since 2010 and is a proud father to two sons, ages 16 and 10, along with their family dog. He and his wife share a love of traveling. A fan of movies, video games, and hockey, James also enjoys playing hockey and often shares his humor through jokes and memes, making him a memorable and approachable leader.

Jeff is employed by McPherson County Kansas as the IT Coordinator and manages Information Technology for all County Offices including Public Works, 911 Communications/Sheriff, County Attorney, County Health Department, Noxious Weed Office, as well as all County Administrative Offices. Jeff has an AAS in Criminal Justice Administration, B.S. in Information Technology Management and is a Certified Government Chief Information Officer through the School of Government at UNC. Jeff is a former KS-GMIS Chapter President and has worked in the Technology Field over 12 years. As Outreach Coordinator Jeff chairs the Outreach Committee that works with new KS-GMIS member initiatives as well as promoting the awareness of GMIS and advantages of membership. 

Marc is a lifelong Topeka. He has spent the past 25 years working at the Shawnee County Information Technology Department, for the past 2 years as Director. Marc is a third generation graduate of Topeka High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Business Administration from Washburn University. Marc currently serves on the board of Top City Marathon and has served on the boards of the Topeka Public Schools Foundation and Randolph PTO. In his free time Marc enjoys boating and running, he has run multiple marathons and half marathons. Marc is married to Misty his wife of 21 years.  Marc has volunteered with Topeka Swim Association in support of his two daughters Kathryn and Abigail.  

Scott is the Director of Computer Technology / CPI / Media for the City of Salina, where he oversees all computer technology functions, networking, and telecommunications for the city. Scott has been involved with technology for over 40 years and has spent the last 6 years in government. Scott’s team has initiated significant network and application upgrades over the past few years. Using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, the city has saved millions to the bottom line.  He has guided the city in developing a Media department and the city records and produces its own programming that is broadcasted over television and other social media. Scott 5 degrees and is a Certified Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, Black Belt in Innovation Engineering, and a Black Belt in Risk Management.  He also chairs the Innovation Committee for GMIS International.
